Definition and composition
The slider coupling is also known as a metal cross slider coupling. Circular slider is made of steel or wear-resistant alloy. It is suitable for the specific size and technical parameters of the cross slider coupling.The slider coupling is composed of two bushes and a central slider. As a torque transmission element, the center slider is usually made of engineering plastics. In special cases, other materials can be selected, such as metal materials.
1:The material of the slider coupling parts can be 45 steel, and the working surface needs to be heat-treated to increase its hardness; when the requirements are lower, Q275 steel can be used without heat treatment.
2:In order to reduce friction,should injecte the oil from the oil hole of the intermediate disc for lubrication. Because the half-coupling and the intermediate disc are moving together, relative rotation cannot occur, so the angular velocity of the driving and the driven shaft should be equal.
3:When there is relative displacement, the center disk will generate a large centrifugal force, thereby increasing the dynamic load and wear. Therefore, it should remember: speed should not be greater than the specified speed ,that is n <250r / min.
4:There is a slight pressure between the centre slider and axle sleeve .this pressure can make the couoling have zero clearance during the equipment operating . As the use time increases, the slider may lose this function due to wear, but the center slider is not expensive and it is easy to replace;After replacement, it can still play its original performance.
5:Slider couplings are commonly used in general motors, some tiems can be used to connect servo motors .During use, by sliding to correcte the relative displacement . Because it is the friction between the slider and axle sleeve that resists relative displacement, the bearing load between them will not increase as the relative displacement.
